TraumaPhysio was established to meet the specific demands of people with complex rehabilitation needs, especially those with polytrauma and limb loss. Our Trauma and Amputee Physiotherapists are highly experienced in supporting individuals with complex fractures, ligament injuries, amputations (including prosthetic rehabilitation) and in post-surgical recovery. We integrate technology, exercises, education, behavioural approaches and activity-based rehabilitation to ensure the very best outcomes for clients. Our focus is on functional, goal-based rehabilitation tailored to each person’s unique needs. We work with private individuals, whilst also recognising the challenges of recovery during litigation, and are skilled in working as part of a wider inter-disciplinary team.
At your initial consultation, our priority is to gain a clear and thorough understanding of your situation, your medical history, and what has led you to seek physiotherapy. This begins with an in-depth discussion with you, often alongside your wider support team, so we can fully appreciate your goals and challenges. TraumaPhysio also has significant experience working with Case Managers and Solicitors for clients following major injury during litigation. We provide accurate costings, comprehensive needs assessments, and detailed, quantified recommendations. For more information on our work with Case Managers, please visit our dedicated page.
Your assessment may include observation, physical testing, and precise measurements. This helps us design a rehabilitation plan that is both structured and personalised. Every programme is developed collaboratively, and we will always discuss and agree the content of your rehabilitation, so it feels relevant, achievable, and directed toward improving your everyday life beyond the therapy session. Collaboration is central to how we work. We adopt an open, honest, and supportive approach, recognising that recovery after complex trauma or amputation is rarely straightforward and often requires flexibility and persistence.

After an extremely traumatic event where I sustained life changing injuries I was introduced to Jason who became not just my physiotherapist but also my confidant and therapist! And this is what makes this place and the people that work there so special!
The empathy and understanding was like nothing I had experienced before, whilst Jason has not experienced such injuries himself, his skill, understanding and compassion meant that he could support me not just physically but mentally too...
